Self-cleaning suction strainers
Self-cleaning suction strainers have been designed to protect pumps from clogging with organic matter, garbage and solid dirt from the water. They are connected submerged - in a river, lake, sea or reservoir -, before the pump, at the beginning of the suction line. This protects the pump against damage and blockage, avoiding problems, repairs and energy loss
Suction pre-filters
With return flow for cleaning

Automatic self-cleaning suction strainers incorporate a mesh cleaning mechanism using a set of rotating nozzles fed with pump drive water. In order to avoid pump deburring a foot valve is usually installed after the pre-filter
